What happens when I listen to the voice?
I would like to share an incredible story that happened to me a week ago. It is a gift from God. You might say it is a gift from the universe. WHatever you might want to call it.
3 weeks ago our landlord notified us that he was going to put the house we have been living in for 10 years in the market. What a disappointment! The location is absolutely perfect, my teenage son who is in 9th grade can walk to high school, to town. Well we needed just 3 more years to stay in it. We were lucky to have been able to stay there for 10 years, it is good in itself.
So we started looking at houses in our town because we did not want our son to change school. There was absolutely nothing similar to what we have at a decent price. There were few houses to rent, yes, but the asking prices were absolutely ridiculous. Between $5,000 and $10,000 a month. There were few apartments for rent. Much smaller, far away from town and more expensive.
But because it was our only option, we decided to go visit few of them.
I came back so down, depressed. I could not envision myself living there at all. But I was ready to make the sacrifice to allow my son to stay in the same school. I was down but heard a voice say to me " Isabelle you need to have faith that things are going to work to. No matter what happens you need to be at peace". Right away I felt a sensation that things were going to be ok. I did not need to worry anymore.
I kept looking at houses to rent, went to talk to few realtors, was searching on craigslist daily.
Nothing. Then few days later, last Tuesday morning, I was still in my bed reading a book when I heard a very clear voice telling me : " Stop reading and go on craigslist". So I did. To my surprise there was this house to rent ( the only one), down the street from our house same amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. I called the landlord. Went to see the house. Few days later we were signing the papers.
Why am I sharing this story with you?
It is to show you that in the midst of disappointment we need to keep faith and believe that things are going to turned out fine. It is only when we find peace that we are open to listen to the voice and act on it right away. I am so thankful for the lesson I have learned, so grateful to be receptive to the voice.
